During the workshop we will talk about

  • the complexities of the social, economic and cultural aspects particular to the lives of the Polish migrants in Nottingham and the D2N2 area, their needs and experiences. We will cover specific issues such as housing, access to benefits, employment, impoverishment, health, schooling.
  • introduce some aspects of Polish culture, take you on a very short tour through Poland in time and space
  • teach you how to say hello (dzień dobry) and thank you (dziękuję) in Polish
  • present The Signpost to Polish Success (SPS) and how we support Polish and other Eastern European migrants

FREE workshops in March/April 2018

This will consist of a two hour workshop, on the needs and experiences of asylum seekers and refugees, covering

  • An overview of Asylum Seekers and Refugees in the UK
  • An insight into the application system; benefits, entitlements and expectations
  • Information about the NNRF: what we do and how we can help you as an organisation

At present we will be running these workshops in

  • Nottingham 15th March 10 -12 am (Venue TBC)
  • North Derbyshire and North Notts 19th March 1-3pm  (Venue TBC)
  • Derby 12th April 1-3pm (Venue TBC)
